property was discusting ! ! - to be polite... - rats - mould - no insulation - terrible neighbours - no parking - security issues ... these were the main problems. the property was poorly built - the walls are plaster board with no insulation or damp or sound proofing inbetween, there's nothing between the carpets and the earth, the waste water pipes are inbetween the inner walls of the apartment block and there are cracks down each wall and door frame. beacuse there's no insulation or damp proofing between the walls the property was mouldy - which was repainted and recarpeted over when we moved in so the problems weren't apparent, only after a few months of living did this problem become apparent. the outside communial area was never managed (which according to the contract was the responsibilty of the landlord) therefore rats were the main inhabitants there - at night we could hear them scratching between the walls, under our floor and above our heads....discusting! the security of the property was also shocking. windows in the communal hall way got smashed and were never repaired. also the fire alarms in the communal areas weren't ever switched on and the lights didn't work - consquently homeless people felt it ok to take up camp in the inner and outer hallways.

do not trust this man!! the worst landlord !!!! uncaring, useless, lazy, ignorant, full off empty promises, disorganised, arrogant, cowardly, a bully - a pathetic person. he never did any work to improve the property's problems (execpt if you count covering up mould damage) and he was never bothered when complaints were reported to him. he didnt pay the electric bill for the communal areas of the property therefore the fire alarms didn't work (illegal) and neither did the lights (giving way to homeless people sleeping in the hallways). and whenever he did occasionally visit the appartment buildings he would constantly be on the look out for debt collectors for the electric company and any other people/organisations he owes money to. (for example i have recently learned he's being sued by andrew grant - property agents - for non-payments. the main problem was that he didnt ensure our deposit was protected in a scheme, he ignored the issue for the entire year we were tenants at the property. even when he was threatened with court action by citizens advice and a lawyer he tried to make us pay the deposit again even though we had reciepts of proof of payment - he even faked a contract with the DPS to make us believe that he had protected it.

do not trust this woman!!! she is a con-artist!! when we took tenancy of the property she acted as the 'middle person' - she 'acted' on behalf of the landlord regarding to communication and rent collection. however 6 months into the tenancy it came to light that she had kept all the rent we had paid so far and our deposit, she then changed her phone number and hid in her own house when the landlord's lawyer tried to serve her with papers for court action. do not give this woman any money... EVER!!!
